Flashback: When Worcester Rap Veteran Killa T Dropped “Worcester Girls”

Simpler times in Worcester back in 2008-2009, before the “renaissance” of the WooSox, Before the major college gentrification happened, When 90% of the city looked like it could give you a Newport or a fair one.

You’d go on MySpace to talk to shorties that wore nameplate chains & earrings, Tap in with the local rappers and check their playlist to see new music.

And one of the most notable names in the city was Killa T (Tierre Diaz), Who rapped alongside rappers like Joyner Lucas, J Black, Nine Millz, T-Checks, And many others.

In summer of 2008 Killa T dropped a remix of Charles Hamilton’s “Brooklyn Girls” titled “Worcester Girls”, Where he named groupies by name & hood (before the word “thot” existed) and it took the city by storm.
