In a city that’s had its share of legends who have come and gone it’s evidently clear over the course of the last 3 years that Mula Monopoly is putting on a networking and marketing clinic that most independent rappers should take note of:
From humble beginnings in federal prison as a well known Latin Kings member, To 10K+ followers, hundreds of thousands of streams & collaborations with some of the most established artists in The Bay State.
How do you think you’re having the success you’re having with more of an MC sound in an era mostly dominated by melodies & drill?
I’m having the success I’m having because I’m just being me, I’m not tryna be like everybody, Feel I have a unique sound can’t really compare me to anyone, Sometimes you hear artists an be like “ya he sounds like such and such”, Don’t feel like that happens with me which I think is a big plus. I look at music like fashion it rotates, Drill and melodies had its lil era the past few years, but the last year or so concept music, story telling and bar work coming back
Did you have any favorite artists in the New England area prior to becoming a rapper?
Out of New England? Gotta start off giving flowers to big dawg at the moment Joyner Lucas,
Artists on the come up that I respect their craft, BlazeFsf, Young Biggs, KingAce D’General, 8zip, Exit Fame, Blaze Gee, Wellknown, my wild card pick imma go with Bryce Berry he doesn’t have a lot of projects out yet but he got talent
What are your most memorable moments so far this early in your career?
My most memorable moments is every moment. Gotya enjoy the journey, Things I’m grateful for though are to be able to work with some big names in the game such as Albee Al, Arsonal Da Rebel, Fuego Base, Chris Rivers, The Hoodies, I think the new track I did with The Hoodies is what really gave me that leap and recognition
